Something I received for free was actually a Bible.It was kind of a gift that I got from someone about five years ago when I was a senior high school student.

收到的一個(gè)免費(fèi)的東西其實(shí)是《圣經(jīng)》。這算是我五年前上高中時(shí)從別人那里獲得的一個(gè)禮物吧。

It was a New International Version that included the Old Testament and the New Testament in both English and Chinese.It was printed very well on paper with gold foil packed up with leather.You know,it was the most nicely decorated book I have ever seen.

這本《圣經(jīng)》是和合本，里面包含了中英文的《新約》以及《舊約》。內(nèi)容印刷在皮質(zhì)包裝的金邊紙上，質(zhì)量特別好。這應(yīng)該是我看到的包裝最精美的一本書(shū)了。

Well,I got this fancy freebie from an American exchange student named David who was sharing an apartment with me.You know,one day,I saw him holding a book that had shining edges in the living room.Just out of curiosity,I asked him what that book was about.Then,he told me it was a Bible,which at the time I had no knowledge about.He found that I was very interested in the book and gave it to me for free.

Honestly,at first,I felt very embarrassed to get this book from him.You know,it was a brand new Bible with deluxe packing,which I guess he just bought from the bookstore,and soon it became mine.Anyways,I was grateful that I got this opportunity to have a deeper understanding of Christianity through the book even though I am a non-believer.
