Well, when it comes to how much time do children spend with their parents in China, actually, it's hard to say, but I can talk about what is happening on my aunt's boy. I found that he seldom has time to actually spend some quality time with his parents, for example, having a trip together, or watching a football game at weekends. He is just too busy in studying, which is kind of an invisible burden on him.

You probably know that Chinese education is well-known for a title called examination-oriented system. Actually, my aunt's boy is just a sample of billions of Chinese children.

As for whether I think the time is enough, the answer is definitely not enough. Schooling is not everything. Parenting also plays an indispensable part of education. You know that good family parenting can nurture our children to be virtuous, industrious, optimistic, faithful, and spending time with parents is the only way to achieve these I guess.

In my country, parents often spend a lot of time with their children, playing with them, reading to them and making sure that the child grows up with a healthy support network around them. If there’ s any negative side to this it could be that the parent are smothering the child, crowding him or her without recognising that a child needs privacy and a space to learn things for itself.
